The Aramaic words “Deka Leyah”, or “Pure for God” are embossed on this exquisite pendant which is another replica of one of City of David’s archaeological findings. Its design is inspired by a button-sized clay seal inscribed with the same words, discovered in an underground channel adjacent to the Western Wall of the Temple Mount. Archaeologists suggest that it was used on items in the Temple that required a seal of purity.
