In the Bible

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD (Shema Yisrael):

The words of the Shema prayer come from the bible in the book of Deuteronomy, known as Devarim, or “spoken words.” It contains promises that include longevity, happiness, and prosperity for those who adhere to the commandments of God. Within the prayer is an instruction to share the words of prayer to your children and grandchildren, and to place the words of these promises on the doorposts of your homes, gates of your cities, and between your eyes. The wooden box worn on the forehead by Jewish men during weekday prayers called tefillin literally contains the handwritten Shema prayer. This stunning necklace is a gift for yourself or someone special that will be cherished for generations to come.

This is incredibly beautiful. However, I am allergic to silver. What are the possibilities of getting this in a gold chain? I can wear the pendant over a garment so the silver casing should not be a problem. If so, what would be the price?

    • Ariella Mendlowitz

Shalom Nancy, unfortunately we do not have this available with a gold chain at this time. You may certainly order the pendant and purchase a gold chain from a local jeweler. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

This is a thank you for the beautiful Hebrew lesson on the Shema prayer. It is my very first Hebrew lesson and a beautiful, beautiful one at that. I will need to study it a lot before I get it, but it was so nice. Thank you for including this thoughtful gift. I can’t afford the jewelry, but I can treasure its meaning.
