In the Bible

Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all you who love her.
--Isaiah 66:10

In the final chapter of Isaiah, the prophet assures the nation that all who love Jerusalem will rejoice with her, as she is restored to her former stature. His prophecy includes a promise of peace in Jerusalem, a peace which we all yearn for and pray for, as we continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

      Shalom Patrick, the size of the Ram’s Horn is between 27-30 centimeters, or 10.5-12 inches in length. The reason for the range is these are natural horns and can vary in length.

      Shalom, the official day of Jerusalem’s Jubilee will be taking place on the Hebrew date which falls out this year on May 24th. But many will continue to celebrate until the date on the Gregorian calendar, which is June 6th.

    I bless Israel, the land and the people, and support Israel’s right to live in the land that HaShem gave to Abraham as an inheritance forever. The land belongs to Adonai and He never breaks covenant.

    • I love Mr. Kersh’s poetry. Although I am not Jewish, it stirs my soul and I feel like shouting “YES, YES, YES! That land was deeded to the Jews by
      GOD ALMIGHTY. No other people can make such a claim about any other land. Some may not like it, but they had better get used to it. God has spoken. I love the poetry.

    • Israel is a beautiful country as well as The city of David -Jerusalem, I visited there March 26-April 18, 2017, it’s still in my mind God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, surely is blessing Israel. I just love Israel, and Jerusalem and home of Israel ambassador to Palau, Tibor Shalev Schlosser, who lives at Kibbuts Gezer, beautiful country and farm area. I will be sure to come back again.

    • STONES AND BONES.
      #
      Go where you will in Israel’s Land
      There’ll be a site, a mound, a stone
      Which echoes our past so long under sand
      For which our return alone can atone.

      Dig where you will in Israel’s tiers,
      You’ll find a name, a note, a jar,
      Which recalls our kings, our heroes and seers
      Who call to their people to return from afar.

    • UNITY OF JERUSALEM

      Jerusalem of world renown,
      Jerusalem, thou art my own.
      No matter where I stay or roam,
      Where e’re I live, thou art my home.

      City where my fathers dwelt,
      Where joy and sorrow were both felt,
      In gratitude my forebears knelt,
      Both past and present, time doth melt.

      Memories, your stones evoke,
      Of generations of my folk;
      Our self-respect again awoke;
      No more, for us, a foreign yoke.

      Ne’re more divide your whole in two;
      Your people’s faith again renew;
      Eternal unity with you,
      Our heads erect; the re-born Jew.

    • J E R U S A L E M
      Jerusalem of ancient fame,
      Can I forget your sacred name?
      Your holy stones have long inspired:
      Your conquest, many a foe desired.

      From David’s time until today,
      But one nation came to stay.
      Others came , but to destroy:
      But now redeemed, our constant joy.

      Your olive trees of age so old,
      What a tale they could unfold!
      Witnesses to tragedy,
      And how, at last, you became free.

      Once more the centre of the world,
      The Jewish flag again unfurled,
      We’ve come to glorify, to build:
      No more defeats while God’s our shield.

      When I die, where e’re I fall,
      Bury me beneath thy wall,
      That way a part of me will be
      A part of your eternity.

    • The world stood still and held its breath
      As on that summerday
      Arab guns from holy sites
      Flung shells upon their prey.

      But heavy was the toll we paid,
      Its holy sites to spare,
      The world had shown indifference –
      We proved it’s WE who care.

      Israeli forces, with restraint, fought back, as hand to hand,
      They cleared the City and each site
      And freed the Holy Land.

      That day the blood raced through our veins;
      Our neighbours we did rouse
      As running through the streets we cried
      “Jerusalem is ours!”

      Judea, Samaria and Gaza freed,
      And Golan of ill-renown,
      Sinai held, the Jordan won –
      But Jerusalem’s the crown.

      Our ancient heritage regained,
      Our Holy Land restoired;
      We’ll not again be parted from
      Our Jerusalem adored.
