Since the devastating arson fire in May 2019, Israel365 has been caring for the distraught and displaced members of Moshav Mevo Modiim. There is a long way to go until the families of this community are able to return to this area an rebuild their lives.

In the meantime, these families are living in temporary housing. They were settled into rented apartments, but were lacking many basic living necessities. Even with their homes and all of their possessions burnt to the ground, life continues, and these families had to carry on! Many of these families have multiple young children and had no choice but to get back on their feet immediately. Thanks to the ever-generous donors of Israel365, we were able to help these families by purchasing them new home appliances- fridges, washing machines, and more! We returned to Moshav Mevo Modiim with Cheftzi, a single-mother who lost everything in the arson attack. Despite the immense hardships that Cheftzi and her children have experienced, she remains optimistic, and full of faith that God is watching over her and children and that ultimately she will understand that everything she underwent was for a divine reason. 

Cheftzi gave us a tour of what is left from her home. As you can see, everything has been completely destroyed! These families are survivors and need our help as they continue to piece their lives back together.
