10,000 Signatures Presented to the Knesset in Support of Jerusalem
Knesset, Jerusalem, Israel – On June 4th, 2013 Israel365 and Christian Friends of Israeli Communities presented over 10,000 signatures on the Jerusalem Covenant, a pledge to keep the city united, to MK Gila Gamliel, Chairperson of the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus. The signatures were gathered digitally over a period of three weeks from May 14 until the first week in June, 2013.
“There is no single issue that unites Jewish and Christian Zionists as much as their steadfast support for Jerusalem as the eternal, undivided capital of the Jewish people. Through the power of social media, we were able to gather so many digital signatures from supporters all over the world from Albania to Zimbabwe,” said Rabbi Tuly Weisz, founder and director of Israel365. MK Gamliel echoed these sentiments on her Facebook page, “While there are many doubts in the world, there is one thing that is clear. That Jerusalem is the undivided and eternal capital of Israel.”
Over the past three weeks, from the Hebrew date of Yom Yerushalyim to this week’s anniversary of the Six Day War, Israel365 has collected over 10,000 signatures from all over the world on the Jerusalem Covenant, a document that is displayed alongside Israel’s Declaration of Independence in the Chagall Hall of the Knesset. The Covenant was drafted by Deputy Chief Justice Rabbi Menachem Elon in 1992 as an acknowledgement of the miraculous return of the Jewish people to Jerusalem and was signed by all of Israel’s political, military and spiritual leadership on the 25th anniversary of Jerusalem’s reunification.
At the event, Rabbi Weisz handed Knesset member Gamliel a famous replica of a 500 year old Holy Land map of Jerusalem from the Judaica Webstore. According to Arik Barel of Judaica Webstore, “this piece elegantly demonstrates the Jewish people’s historic claim to our capital city and its an honor that it will now adorn the walls of the Knesset.”
To gather so many signatures, Israel365 worked together with Christian Friends of Israeli Communities Heartland. “It has been an amazing privilege for us at CFOIC Heartland to partner with Israel365 on this important initiative to enable Christians from all over the world to show their support for Jerusalem,” said Sondra Oster Baras of CFOIC. “For more than 15 years, we have been connecting Christian Zionists with Israel and especially with the heart of Biblical Israel – Judea and Samaria. But the heart of it all is Jerusalem – the spiritual and geographical center of the Land of Israel and the People of Israel. We will never forget Jerusalem.”

The Homeland Of My Heart and My Love Letter To Israel
Oh How I LOVE Israel and its people, who ARE my people, too! My MishpoHa! Israel is the ancient homeland of my ancestors, who were of The House Of David, Of The Tribe of Judah, within the City Of David in Jerusalem Israel. And No Matter what household my ancestors were a descendant of, I belong to The G-D of Israel, with a calling to Love and Serve our G-D and Israel…a calling and passionate LOVE that NO One can stop. steal, beat out of me or take away from me!
The soul-depth longing-desire that I have for Israel and to live in Israel, makes me feel as if I had been born and raised there,,,and then later, unwillingly moved away from it, led into the bondage captivity of a Strange Land I do NOT belong to….taken away from THE Love-Of-My-Life Homeland; A Love that inspires me to dream and live by the Mercy, Grace and LOVE of our G-D, with a HaTikvah-Hope for a Beautiful Future of LIVING within my Native homeland of Israel, once again.
Challenging Life Circumstances and my way-too-young maturity level of understanding, may temporarily be confining me to this strange land that I KNOW is NOT my TRUE HOME; But I look forward with HaTikvah-Hope, by Faith….Knowing I will LIVE in Israel ONE DAY, In The City Of David, within HaShem’s Timing and Way… I Know this, because I KNOW my Life is in the Hands of our LIVING G-D, WHO orders my steps, as HE Is my “ADONAI Li Lo Ira, ADONAI Ori and ADONAI Mi-HaTikvah.” The L-RD is my Greatest LOVE of All! Without HIM, I am no one and have no hope; HE is the Reason I Live and am still alive today.
In Spite of the suffering persecution and pain I perseveringly endure, I not only Rejoice in the provisional Blessings and Safety of ELSHADI wherever I Live….but I also Zealously Rejoice with Israel rejuvinatingly being Restored unto its former intended plans of our G-D….as promised through the Prophets, thousands of years ago. I know that upon our Journey of being restored unto our G-D, no matter where we may live and belong in life according to HIS planned purposed will for each of us, we will face many giants in the land who oppose our G-D and HIS Will; But I KNOW our G-D is Greater than any works of darkness, and that HE will overcome every enemy, so that we will be with HIM for All Eternity. It is HIS WORD and HIS Promise, for us who are HIS children, who have Trusting Hope in HIM. HE Has the proclamation beginning word and HE has the Final WORD! The ONE WHO Is The Ultimate Authority. Period!
As HE promised in HIS WORD, HE will contend with those who contend with us…..HE will RESTORE and HEAL the land of our hearts and the Homeland HE has promised us. I strongly TRUST in HIS perfect Ways and Timing; For HE is Perfect in ALL His ways, and HIS LOVE for us, Never fails! HIS mercy endures forever.
I will always pray for the Peace of and daily Blessings upon Israel at all times…for every need to be provided for, always shielded from all harm, and always engulfed by The Matchless Deep LOVE of our G-D for all of us who are HIS Children. HE is Always GOOD, Always Fair and Always Just in All of HIS Ways, ALL of the time!
Even at the cost of my Life, With Never-ending Deep-Passionate -Love, I STAND WITHandFOR our G-D, HIS WORD, HIS LOVE, HIS Teachings..AND WITHandFOR Israel, where Yerushalayim Yisrael~Jerusalem Israel Is THE Capital of Yisrael~Israel.
