I was a lone soldier from 1975 to 1977, serving in the Nachal. Although the majority of my blood relatives live in Israel, I am living in the US with lung cancer. I really enjoyed watching this short video. There was, of course, no Nefesh b’Nefesh in the 1970s. We were only a few hundred lone soldiers in the period that I served. This period, was of course, the time of my life!

I served primarily in Gaza and Sinai, so it’s very hard for me psychologically…

I have a close relationship with my Nachal Garin-Reut to this day. I joined the garin reunion which took place at Kibbutz Reim on August 31 this summer via WhatsApp (an Israeli invention).
So please, for G-d’s sake, keep up the good work!!!!
